School Group Tour Information

GRAM offers docent-led tour exeriences for youth and school groups. Themes for these tours are as follows:
  • Learning to Look: Students will develop careful looking and communication techniques while making meaning from GRAM permanent collection images.
  • Nature Revealed: Students will explore the relationship between artists and the environment throughout history using artwork from the GRAM permanent collection.

 

Available Tour Times:

  • Mondays: no tours - museum is closed.
    Tuesdays: 10:00 a.m. tour, 10:00 a.m. tour with an 11:00 a.m. workshop (for elementary-age groups only) and a 12:30 p.m. tour.
    Wednesday - Fridays: 10:00 a.m. tour, 10:00 a.m. tour with an 11:00 a.m. workshop (for elementary-age groups only), 12:30 p.m. tour and a 3:00 p.m. tour.


Tour requests must be received no later than 3 weeks in advance.

Teacher Resource Packets 

This Fall, the GRAM Education Department is pleased to make information packets available to educators who are interested in a tour of our special exhibitions or the permanent collection galleries. This material is suitable for teachers who instruct homeschool groups or classrooms of students in grades 1st - 12th. The packets include art historical information, suggested art-making and research activities, discussion topics and image reproductions that GRAM Education staff recommends be integrated into class curriculum as preparation or follow-up to a museum visit.
